Synopsis:
Set in present-day Constanța, in a neighborhood on the edge of the city’s port, the film follows Selda, a 16-year-old Tatar girl determined to break free from the weight of the traditions she was raised with. While secretly in love with Tudor, a Christian boy, her parents struggle to convince her that Tatar faith and customs matter more than her personal desires and future.
When an unexpected incident, misunderstood by her parents, leads them to forbid her from seeing Tudor, Selda becomes even more convinced that she must take control of her own life. Her love for Tudor grows stronger, and she runs away from home, longing only for the ordinary teenage life she feels she belongs to.
Caught between two worlds, Selda must choose between family expectations and the freedom to define her own future.
