Black comedy that tells a fictional story about the relationship between Empress Sisi and her lady-in-waiting, Irma Sztáray. During their travels through Europe, from Corfu to Algiers, from Bavaria to England, a bond of co-dependence develops between the two. The film begins as a satire and ends "in the depths of the human soul". Finsterwalder won the 2023 Bavarian Film Award for Best Director.
