The HOLDING EACH OTHER short films category explores the interdependent relationship between the notion of community and the sense of care. Whether we're talking about the family space, the circle of friends, neighbours, or the position of ally, "caring for one another" remains the community's fundamental need. Building on this foundation requires, among other things, a constant exercise of empathy, mutual support, and mobilization in the face of the obstacles posed by systemic aggressions of any kind. Collective memory, intergenerational or cultural heritage, activism, and vulnerability are tools in the hands of those inspired to build community around them.
