Într-o noapte furtunoasă, înr-un sat de la poalele muntelui s-a născut un copil. I-au pus numele Jurko, iar când mama lui a fost chemată la castel, pruncul a fost îngrijit de o zână. Anii au trecut, iar Jurko, sătul să suporte opresiunea săracilor, s-a hotărât să se alăture bandiților din munți. Și de data aceasta zâna i-a venit în ajutor, oferidu-i o curea fermecată, cu puteri supraomenești. 

On a stormy night in a village at the foot of the mountains a child was born. They named him Jurko. When his mother was dragged to the castle, a fairy cradled the newborn. As the years went by, Jurko had to endure the oppression of the poor. Enough is enough. Jurko leaves for the mountains to join the brigands. However, he lacks the strength for the job. Again, the fairy pays him a visit and gives him a magic belt with superhuman powers.
