Music and cinema tangle on the floor of AniMusic Night, the competition that brings the most spectacular recent animated music videos to the silver screen. Among the selection's major draws are Cut Hands (directed by Edd Carr), a video made for Deftones using over 2,500 hand-printed cyanotype frames, and Traffic Lights (directed by Nespy 5euro), created for the track by Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) in collaboration with Thom Yorke (Radiohead). The competition also brings together productions for bands like Jinjer (Duél) and Coheed and Cambria, alongside representatives of the local scene: the Romanian short Comet (directed by Nikita Dembinski, Avanpost) for Yes Mercy, and Agony (directed by Nicoleta Rasnita et al.) from the Republic of Moldova. The evening's atmosphere will be energized by MC Tony Baboon, whose hosting will include short bursts of live sound improvisation and live looping performance.
