Dita and Dionis, the protagonists of a play that is on during a traditional harvest festival in a village of Dubruja, end up really falling in love with one another. But the illegitimate love affair that the girl's mother formerly had with the boy's father hinders their plan to get married. Desperate for finding out that they are brother and sister, the two young people commit suicide.
The film premiered in Romania January 23rd, 1967. It received Diploma of Honour and The Trophy ”Dama del Paraguas” at the International color film festival Barcelona in 1967.
