Tomorrow Somewhere by the Sea (Morgen irgendwo am Meer) is a German coming-of-age film directed by Patrick Büchtingand based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Adriana Popescu. The film follows four teenagers who set out on a journey to Lisbon after finishing school, only to confront personal conflicts, complicated friendships, first love, and unresolved experiences from their past. Tomorrow Somewhere by the Sea marks Patrick Büchting's feature film debut and was produced as the final project for his Master's degree in Film at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The film premiered at the Bremen International Film Festival in 2023, where it received the Audience Award for Best Lower Saxony Film. Following its German theatrical release in June 2024, it was screened at several international festivals in Spain, Lithuania, and Cuba. The film was also awarded Best Youth Film in Germany.
