The film evokes the figure of Nicolae Iorga (Valentin Teodosiu), presenting the political and social events of year 1940, as well as the last days of the Romanian historian.

The film premiered in Romania April 16^th, 1990. It won Best Actor in a Supporting Role Prize (Dragoș Pâslaru) at the Costinești Film Festival (1990).
