Synopsis: 

While attending an environmental camp in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, a group of eight children wanders away from the rest of the camp and discovers poachers using electric current to fish – an illegal and highly destructive practice. Chased away and mocked by the poachers, the children decide to get even by stealing their electrofishing device the next day.

What follows is a thrilling chase through the Delta, as the children and the poachers outsmart one another in a series of adventurous encounters, all leading to the exposure of the so-called fishermen.

Liviu Mărghidan

Liviu Mărghidan graduated in Geology before studying Film Directing at the “I.L. Caragiale” National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest. He began his career as a television camera operator and later became a cinematographer, working on an impressive number of award-winning Romanian films.

He runs his own production company and recently directed the feature film The Delta Rangers, the first Romanian children's adventure film made since 1989. Reviving a long-neglected genre in Romanian cinema, The Delta Rangers tells the story of a group of children attending a summer camp in the mountains.
