Unul dintre cele mai cunoscute horror-uri din istoria filmelor mute, Fantoma de la Operă (The Phantom of the Opera, 1924), clasicul alb-negru regizat de Rupert Julian, va fi prezentată publicului TIFF pe muzica hipnotizantă a multi-premiatului muzician Samuel Liégeon.
Artistul care a sedus publicul din Europa și din S.U.A. cu improvizațiile sale muzicale, a fost distins în 2008 cu premiul I la prestigioasa competiție internațională Boëllmann-Gigout, la Strasburg, iar în anii următori s-a remarcat în competițiile internaționale de improvizație din Leipzig, Harlem, Münster și Chartres.
