Anglo-Saxon Booking Agency and Metal For Life present HARMASAR, one of the wildest and most-beloved pagan folk metal bands in Eastern Europe.

HARMASAR hail from Chisinau, Republica Moldova and were formed in 2013. They have toured Romania, Bulgaria and Republica Moldova on many occasions, including festival appearances at "Rock'n'Iasi Outdoors 2016", "Maris Fest 2016" rock'n'bike fest in Targu-Mures, "Folk & Metal Fest III" in Bucharest and "Rock'n'Haret" in Chisinau.

They play a furiously energetic brand of pagan folk metal, influenced by Korpiklaani, Finntroll, Eluveitie, Amon Amarth, Arkona and Bucovina. Like all the best folk metal bands, they also draw inspiration from the history, myths, legends and folk culture of their own country.

HARMASAR have evolved their own unique sound and look characterised by the deranged stage presence of their lead singer, Max Miller, the lilting panpipes of their talented flautist, Pavel Ungureanu and their adoption of Moldavian shepherds’ costumes.

Their explosively riotous live shows are rapturously received by the same audience that loves such Romanian legends of folk metal as Bucovina, GOD and Dirty Shirt and new stars, E-an-na.

HARMASAR have a set of original songs with historical inspiration, such as “Vaslui 1475”, “Natiunea” and “Daoi”, but they also play frantic thrash versions of folk standards such as “Ciuleandra” and “Basmaluta” and occasionally a cover version of Phoenix’s hit, “Andrei Popa” or Bucovina’s “Mestecanis”.

At the end of 2016, HARMASAR launched their debut album, "Din Pamant" on CD and MP3, winning second place in the prestigious Metalhead Awards poll for "Best Romanian Metal Album".

In March, HARMASAR return to Romania, their second home, to launch "Din Pamant" with a series of concerts which promise to be their biggest and wildest yet.

Super special guests of HARMASAR for this special album launch show of theirs will be their very dear friends from VRANI VOLOSA.

VRANI VOLOSA are a pagan metal band from Burgas on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast. They are influenced by black metal, doom metal, folk metal and melodic death metal bands like Bathory, Primordial, Burzum, Borknagar and Enslaved -and also by classic heavy metal, progressive rock and folk rock bands like Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull.

Since forming in 2003, they have released a mini-album, “Where The Heart Burns” and a full-length album, “Heresy / Epec”. Both these albums were released by independent Bulgarian label, Corvus Records and licensed for manufacture and distribution by Einheit Produktionen / Soul Food. They have also released a DVD, “Sailor Songs”, which includes live performances of acoustic versions of their songs.

Their first live show was supporting Orphaned Land, since when they have played with bands like Serj Tankian, Manegarm, Arkona, Skyclad and Pungent Stench and they have played at many festivals in their native Bulgaria.

VRANI VOLOSA are no mere “viking metal” copyists and have developed their own distinctive sound by blending the rock and metal styles which influence them with their backgrounds in classical music, choral music and traditional Bulgarian folk music.

Their songs are about the mountains and plains of their native land, the history and pagan mythology of the Bulgar people, the pride of warriors and the awesome power and beauty of nature, from the sun in the sky to the storm-tossed sea which is a permanent presence in their coastal home town.

In the summer of 2017, they will release their third album, “Amongst The Loneliest Of Waves”, which further expands upon the themes of the sea explored in the film for their song, “Wreck” and in the DVD they released, “Sailor Songs”.

New material from this long-awaited magnum opus will be premiered exclusively at this show.

VRANI VOLOSA have visited Romania many times before and they feel a deep spiritual communion with the devoted audience that exists in Romania for emotional and powerful pagan metal

Opening the show will be REFLECTIONS.

REFLECTIONS are a dark, moody alternative rock band from Bacau, Romania who combine the sneering energy and aggression of punk rock with the emotionally intense early-'80's sounds of positive punk, proto-goth and indie rock.
