We love those nights when Control becomes a meeting point for dancers, diggers and night creatures alike. Mid-June, we’re setting a trip for the stars: from the cosmic edges of Italian dance music to disco mutations, psychedelic oddities and groove-led after-hours selections.

FABRIZIO MAMMARELLA [IT]

Fabrizio Mammarella has spent over two decades shaping his own corner of underground dance music. As a producer, label head and tireless selector, the Slow Motion founder has helped define the modern Italian dance wave through releases on DFA, Permanent Vacation and Live At Robert Johnson, alongside collaborations such as Black Spuma with Lauer. 

Whether navigating psychedelic disco, machine funk or stranger territories, his sets carry the same spirit that runs through his labels: adventurous, playful and made for those who enjoy their rhythms with a little twist.

GIULIA GUTTERER [IT]

Giulia Gutterer glides between sleazy Italo, New Beat oddities, Hi-NRG ecstasy and spazzed-out cosmic grooves. A familiar presence at Panorama Bar and Cocktail d’Amore in Berlin, as well as beyond, she has built a reputation for sets that balance humour, sensuality and an impeccable taste. 

Digging deep through forgotten corners of record shops and internet rabbit holes alike, she stitches together sounds that feel familiar and delightfully unexpected.

MOSS FARAI

Moss Farai has spent more than a decade cultivating his own distinctive dancefloor atmosphere at Control Club and as a longstanding fixture of Bucharest nightlife. His selections drift through warm, obscure and aromatic territories, where disco serves as a guiding principle. 

Equal parts escapism and indulgence, his sets unfold with patience, charm and the feeling of sharing a bottle of champagne with friends.

PHIL COCKS & MEELOUNA

Crowd favorites Phil Cocks and Meelouna bring a shared love of groove-rich dance music that stretches across modern funk, boogie, soul, R&B and Italo flavours. Their back-to-back sessions favour flow over formula, moving naturally between silky rhythms, colourful melodies and low-slung energy. 

Expect a generous selection built to make you feel like you’re already on holiday (and, possibly, sailing on a boat on the Mediterranean).
