ctrl x ichigo: Roger Rabbit w/ Shan Selby [USA], Sătănel 18+

A new season has just begun and Roger Rabbit already sprung in the Berlin Room. Teaming up with ICHIGO for this series dedicated to Bucharest’s dance community, music is only one part of the exchange. Dancers from different styles and crews are invited into the space, as hip hop, house and everything that connects the dots are bringing the real-real.

SHAN SHELBY [USA]

Shan Selby brings a lifetime of movement and music from New York. Born in Brooklyn, he started breaking in 1984 with The Majestic Rockers before moving into house dance in 1994, later joining World Soul, Dance Fusion NY and Mop Top. A dancer, DJ and producer, his musical language comes from the same place as his movement: hip hop, house and a culture that lives.

Sătănel has her own close relationship with the floor. A hip hop dancer, DJ and event organiser, she approaches the booth with rhythm and taste, moving through genres with a strong sense of timing and musicality. Her selections are made for bodies in motion, and this time she’ll be spinning house and disco. No need to contain yourselves.
