Arzak, one of the best restaurants in the world which has held three Michelin stars for 30 years, is a family affair in San Sebastián. The father, the star of the restaurant, is retiring, and his daughter has to take over his legacy: the highest level of Basque cuisine. The film follows the evolution of this cuisine from traditional to nouvelle cuisine through the family restaurant’s 100 years of history. 

The evening will continue will a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Ionuț Crișan at Samsara Foodhouse. A leader of the Slow Food movement in Cluj, Crișan pays particular attention to each ingredient, working primarily with local ingredients. 

The event is part of Carte Blanche: San Sebastián, which is part of Focus Spain.
