This performance is demonstrating the common musical roots of Persia and India though the medium of two wind instruments, Bansuri (India) and Ney (Iran), played by Julia Ohrmann and Mehdi Aminian.

India and Persia are among the oldest human civilisations. They share a common cultural heritage and throughout centuries they exchanged many elements in the fields of language, spirituality and art. 

Julia Ohrmann has been one of the first European women reaching a high level. She become one of the main students of the legendary Maestro Hariprasad Chaurasia, with whom she shares the stage and tours internationally.

Mehdi Aminian is an Iranian musician, composer and creator of several international projects promoting musical dialogue between different cultures: Roots Revival Romania, Doina Revival, Aramaic and Sufi dialogue and more.
