KADJAVSI & TAJNIC TRIO

Kadjavsi’s debut album “Second Sun” was released in the fall of last year. Written and produced by Bucharest-based pianist and vocalist Nikita Dembinski, the album was recorded throughout 2022 with the help of a few close collaborators, like violonist Constantin Mușat. Although “Second Sun” is an alternative-pop record, there are subtle hints of Dembinski’s previous work as an ambiental soundtrack producer, like on “Breaks That Friend Your Heart” or “Shifting Habits”.

Joining them two is Tajnic, a contemporary jazz trio that are no strangers to Point Art Hub nor to the music scene in Romania. Formed by brothers Florian and Iulian Nicolau, the bass player and drummer of the band and keyboardist Albert Tajti, the group has somewhat recently started playing under this formula. Although the three have met on multiple separate occasions and stages, as they are active members of the local jazz community, they discovered they have a unique chemistry and decided to nurture it and join forces. They are currently working on their debut album and have most recently released a single called “Parfume d’Orient”.

Kadjavsi & Tajnic meet on stage again, as part of a limited amount of concerts where they’ll blend their identities together in hopes of playing and re-imagining Kadjavsi’s “Second Sun” and more. Their different improvisatoric experiences will merge together and blossom into an immersive encounter that is sure to be different every time they meet.

Scris și produs de Nikita Dembinski, vocalist și pianist bazat in București, albumul a fost înregistrat de-alungul anului 2022 cu ajutorul unor colaboratori apropiați ai muzicianului, printre care și violonistul Constantin Mușat. Deși ”Second Sun” este un release alternative-pop, se simt și tente subtile de pe soundtrack-urile ambientale compuse de Dembinski în trecut, precum ”Breaks That Friend Your Heart” sau ”Shifting Habits”.
