ctrl Live: Getchoo

Getchoo launch their debut album WILL on October 11th in Control Club. Getchoo is a Bucharest-based indie rock/alternative rock band active since 2023. Within a year it developed from a solo project to a proper band, and the four members in their 20s have packaged the accumulated compositions in the form of the album  "WIL". A mixture of musical influences and styles, WILL tracks share the distorted vulnerability, memorable choruses and DIY recording style that Getchoo's sound was built on.

Victor, Daniel, Bucur and David are four young people from Bucharest who met at concerts, through the local community of musicians. The transition from solo project to band was realized in 2023 with the first live appearance. The four debuted sharing the stage with the band D.E.N.I.S., followed by concerts with projects such as Catholic Block and PLANT.

In the winter of 2024, Getchoo recorded and released their first single in their new, full line-up - No Loose Ends - and on February 27 performed for the first time in Control Club.

During the summer, they recorded the material that would end up on the WILL album, including the singles "Cadaver" and "Boat/Tow Truck". Within that same timeframe they co-organized and participated in a short tour with the band Vertical Ego from Cluj, followed by a concert at the 2024 edition of the Holzstock Indie Rock Festival.
