VAR [post rock/ indie, is], Mieresch [ro]
VAR is a young band from Reykjavik and not just the next average post rock ensemble. Not only when singer Júlíus lays his falsetto over the driving rhythms and dynamic arrangements, one realizes that this group of musicians has found their very own sound, as witnessed at last year’s Iceland Airwaves. Their new album will be released in April, and here is the first, hymnal single: Moments.
