Timp de trei zile, între 9 și 11 septembrie, în celebra Grădina Uranus din cartierul Uranus-Rahova, Balkanik Festival revine cu cea de-a șasea ediție și propune cel mai provocator lineup de până acum.
Printre primele capete de afiș confirmate se numără:
- TARAF DE HAIDOUKS și KOCANI ORKESTAR - vor urca pe aceeași scenă cei 26 de membri ai celor mai emblematice și faimoase trupe Gypsy, în formula rară Band of Gypsies.
- OMAR SOULEYMAN, cel mai apreciat artist sirian al ultimelor decenii și un star al muzicii arabe
- BOLLYWOOD MASALA ORCHESTRA – SPIRIT OF INDIA Un spectacol extraordinar, pentru prima dată pe o scenă din România, care va face o introducere în muzica tradițională a țiganilor din Rajahstan.
Pe scena mare din Grădina Uranus vor mai urca:
Antwerp Gypsy-Ska Orkestra (Bruxelles, Belgia)
Cumbuș Cemaat (Istanbul, Turcia)
Orange Blossom (Egipt, Franța).

Balkanik Festival will return to Bucharest, Romania on September 9, 10 and 11 for a three-day festival with a stacked lineup for those who want a taste of the Balkans and Arab world.
The festival takes place in the historic Uranus Garden (Uranus Street 144) in Bucharest, located in the last-standing old neighborhoods of Bucharest, next to the House of the People, the second-largest building in the world.
The first headliners on the big stage of Balkanik Festival are:
- Band of Gypsies – legendary Taraf de Haidouks, the most successful Gypsy band in the world, and brass band Kocani Orkestar (Macedonia), will perform together a fresh set of songs.
- Omar Souleyman, the great star of Syria
- Bollywood Masala Orchestra will bring the effervescence and craze of the original Indian Gypsies’ music, dances and a theatrical show and will take the audience on a colorful and musical journey from Rajasthan to Mumbai.
Antwerp Gypsy-Ska Orkestra, Cumbuș Cemaat and Orange Blossom are vibrant bands, combining traditional music from Turkey, Egypt and the Balkans with electronic, ska and contemporary sounds.
Further festival acts, interactive sound installations, learning events and music workshops will be announced soon.
