aim+wall presents: Cooly G [UK], Cocco Mio 18+

On Thursday, March 19, aim+wall return with their residency, inviting two artists whose approach to electronic music moves between bass pressure, texture, and instinct.

Cooly G, coming from Brixton, helped shape the UK funky movement with tracks built around deep basslines and stripped-back rhythms. Her sound carries echoes of early Chicago house, filtered through London’s restless energy, skipping, raw, and unmistakably dancefloor-driven. With releases tied to the Hyperdub universe and decades behind the decks, she moves between groove and pressure with ease.

Cocco Mio approaches DJing through the lens of visual composition. Known in Bucharest as both illustrator and graphic designer, her selections unfold like a collage, layering electronic sounds into hypnotic, textured narratives that evolve patiently across the room.

Through their residency, aim+wall frame the night by connecting these threads  UK bass, broken rhythm, and exploratory electronics, shaping a flow built on contrast and curiosity.

Emerging from Brixton’s vibrant music landscape, Cooly G became one of the defining voices of UK funky. Her productions and DJ sets revolve around deep basslines, minimal rhythmic structures, and a distinctive London swing that keeps the dancefloor in motion.

Cocco Mio (Andreea Ilisăi )  blends her visual background with a curiosity for electronic sound. Her DJ sets move across genres like a moodboard, experimental, layered, and quietly immersive.
