● The artist Statement:
// Overview // This is a street photo walk that will challenge the participants to explore different themes and perspectives in the city. The themes can be urban art and graffiti, the unexpected, people, architecture, animals in the city, or anything else that sparks their creativity. The participants will learn how to observe their surroundings, choose their subjects, and convey their messages through their photos.

// What we’ll do // We will meet at a designated point and I will introduce myself and the themes for the photo walk. I will not give technical advice, but rather share my artistic vision and how I approach street photography. I will also answer any questions and give some tips and challenges to the participants. Then, we will walk together around a chosen neighborhood, taking photos of the themes we selected. At the end of the walk, we will return to the meeting point and the participants will have some time to select and edit their photos if they wish.

// What we’ll share // We will review and comment on each other’s photos, theme by theme, in a constructive and positive way. I will also show the photos I took on the same themes (the day before) and explain how I worked and what I wanted to express. This will be an opportunity to learn from each other and appreciate different styles and visions.

● Purpose of the Walks
To benefit from the artist experience and his willingness to share // To learn to look at the world, life around us, with a fresh perspective // To approach a subject with an artistic or photojournalistic eye // To build self-confidence.

● Necessary Equipment: Each participant should bring their own camera (and their laptop if possible).

// Prezentare generală // Aceasta este o plimbare foto de stradă care va provoca participanții să exploreze diferite teme și perspective din oraș. Temele pot fi arta urbană și graffiti, neașteptatul, oamenii, arhitectura, animalele din oraș sau orice altceva care le stârnește creativitatea. Participanții vor învăța cum să observe împrejurimile, să-și aleagă subiectele și să-și transmită mesajele prin fotografiile lor.

// Ce vom face // Ne vom întâlni la un punct desemnat și mă voi prezenta pe mine și temele pentru plimbarea foto. Nu voi da sfaturi tehnice, ci mai degrabă voi împărtăși viziunea mea artistică și modul în care abordez fotografia de stradă. De asemenea, voi răspunde la orice întrebări și voi oferi câteva sfaturi și provocări participanților. Apoi, ne vom plimba împreună în jurul unui cartier ales, făcând fotografii cu temele pe care le-am selectat. La sfârșitul plimbării, vom reveni la punctul de întâlnire, iar participanții vor avea ceva timp să-și selecteze și să-și editeze fotografiile, dacă doresc.

// Ce vom împărtăși // Vom revizui și comenta fotografiile celuilalt, temă cu temă, într-un mod constructiv și pozitiv. De asemenea, voi arăta fotografiile pe care le-am făcut pe aceleași teme (cu o zi înainte) și voi explica cum am lucrat și ce am vrut să exprim. The event is part of the 8th edition of the Bucharest Photofest international photography festival, a photography festival that takes place between OCT 6-15, 2023 in Bucharest and has as its central theme IDENTITY.
