Day 3 at TIFF 2021


After two intense days filled with films, concerts, exhibitions and special screenings, the weekend continues at the Cetățuie Open Air location, where children can enjoy another day filled with special activities, games, painting and many more. At 9.45 PM, the audience is invited to watch Tina, a documentary about the life of Tina Turner.

From 8.30 PM, music lovers are invited to enjoy the first concert, VIZI, live at Casa TIFF. Access to the concert is free, limited by available seats.

One of the most awaited Romanian films, ”The father who moves mountains” directed by Daniel Sandu, is on today, 9:45 PM at USAMV Open Air. Starring Adrian Titieni, the film tells the story of Mircea Jianu, a retired Intelligence officer in his 50s, finds out that his son from a previous marriage went missing in the mountains. As any concerned parent would, he travels there hoping the young man will be found alive and well. But after several days of unavailing searches, Mircea decides to take the matter into his own hands...

At Banffy Castle Bonțida, from 9:45 PM, the TIFF audience will have the chance to watch two short films: Lux Æterna and The Human Voice. Directed by Gaspar Noé, Lux Æterna is a vibrant essay on respect for beliefs, the actor’s craft and the art of filmmaking. Romanian subtitles only, without English subtitles. The Human Voice, directed by Pedro Almodovar, tells the story of two living beings facing abandonment.

Winner of the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, Another Round arrives at TIFF, in a special screening, today, in Unirii Square Open Air, 9:45 PM. The film follows four friends, who, based on a theory that we should be born with a share of alcohol in our blood, embark on an experiment to uphold a constant level of intoxication throughout the workday. But soon their little experiment will be out of control...
