Having as a starting point family structures and their influencing factors, Celule de bază is an installation populated with things forgotten in the attic or in the storage closet, things that rebuild family histories and recall random images related to a home’s universe. The rural and urban modernity meet at the border between theater and performance, where the personal stories of the performers intertwine with those documented in the villages of Telciu and Romuli.
The performance is part of the project Families and migration. Perspectives from the rural world, and it is based on the documentation made by Petro Ioneseco and Raul Coldea in the frame of the Culese din Telciu residency in 2019.
The representation is part of the TRANSITIONS / euroregional program of contemporary art.
TRANSITIONS / Euroregional program of contemporary art
Transitions focuses on the current social problems of minorities and marginalized groups from the perspective of a common, euroregional context. Starting with 2019 Casa Tranzit will be the monthly host of a series of shows performed both in the country and in the vicinity, in countries such as Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova, Hungary or Slovenia.
The events speak about exceptional states, about border situations, about margins and margins, but also about the resources of reinvention, progress and conviviality.
The Transitions Program is co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration (AFCN).
The program does not necessarily represent the position of the Administration of the National Cultural Fund. AFCN is not responsible for the content of the project or how the results of the project can be used. These are entirely the responsibility of the beneficiary of the financing.
