From jazz to soul to hip-hop and electronic, we proudly present a new live series entitled Alt Jazz. Focused on the mix of many musical art forms, all connected through jazz, the new series unfolds with the first episode, featuring the UK rising voice Bel Cobain on Monday—March 9.
Emerging onto the scene in 2019 with the evocative "Introverted Stoner," Bel had an amazing 2025, gracing
the stage of the BBC 6 Music Maida Vale session alongside Gilles Peterson and embarked on an extensive year-long tour, making memorable stops at The Great Escape, Glastonbury, We Out Here, Somerset House, Neon In Nature, as well as captivating audiences in so many other cities.
2026 is announcing a new creative year for Bel, who released her latest single ‘Am I Dumb’ on Giles’ Peterson Bronswood Recordings at the end of January.
About the track, Bel shares: ”It’s one of the angrier tracks I’ve written, documenting the real madness of grief (or impending grief) in certain moments. It’s not the prettiest, but it’s brutally honest, and that’s what’s most important for me in my art”
