Program Lumières d’Europe – Rezistență și libertate

The 2025 session of Lumières d’Europe will take place for the second time at the renowned George Enescu Festival in Bucharest, Romania, from the 1st to the 10th of September. This event will bring together 4 guest artists, one composer in residence, scientists and 15 young talents from across Europe to explore the powerful theme of “Resistance and Freedom”, through music and interdisciplinary dialogue.

César Viana will lead a lecture exploring the theme “Resistance and Freedom” through the lens of his experience as a composer and thinker. His conference will delve into the ways artistic creation embodies acts of resistance and asserts freedom, offering a profound perspective on the connections between music, society, and individual expression. 

Paul Audi, philosopher

Conference: “Creation and Freedom”

Paul Audi will explore the intricate relationship between those two concepts and offering deep insights into how these concepts intertwine in both the artistic and intellectual realms. 

Nicolas Tenzer, political philosopher and essayist

Conference: "Facing the Coming War: Defending Europe through Law and Power"
