Layers of corporality, layers of history.
Layers of music and layers of dance.
Layers of past-presence-future.
The dance as a discovery, the dance as a replenishment.
Shot in the Omnia Hall, A Place In Time / Omnia urges the viewer to meet the future building serving as headquarters to the Bucharest National Dance Center through all its facets: from an architectural standpoint, from a political and historical perspective, through its current status-quo, and by the dancers' contemporary bodies, that, just like the space, encompass historical information.
In this film, presence resides at the juxtaposition between past and future. Starting from presence, the authors eplore the two directions of time. The corporeal bodies of the dancers reveal the layers of the Hall and they redesign their structures and atmosphere, but they are also being redesigned themselves.
A Place in Time / Omnia carries on the scenario imagined by the building's architech, hoping for an utopical future - all our desires and misconceptions about the Omnia Hall as a place belonging to people and art.
