On Friday, December 13, we welcome a lineup of three heavyweights that have been mastering the sounds of the electronic underground for decades in Room 1: enter Curses, Tronik Youth and Jezebell.

Curses is a Berlin-based musician and DJ who is known for bringing a cinematic energy to the club. Skilfully merging the sounds of 80's New Wave and the brooding ambiance of Italo-Disco with unexpected sprinklings of punk energy, he uses live ghostly vocals over DJ sets, conjuring an electrifying atmosphere. Intuition and experience allow Curses to adapt to different environments whilst maintaining authentic storytelling within various underground genres. From heavy hitting E.B.M and Dark Wave to the uplifting nostalgia of Italo and Proto-House, his knowledge and flexibility keeps the dancefloor moving.

Tronik Youth aka Neil Parnell is a well-respected DJ, producer and label owner in the UK. Raw and danceable, his music can be found on numerous singles, hundreds of remixes, as well as two acclaimed albums released over the past 10 years. The Nein Records label he owns and runs includes esteemed artists such as Black Light Smoke, Roe Deers, Two Mamarrachos, Emperor Machine, as well as Curses and was charted among the most influential music outlets of the last decade on Resident Advisor.

Darren Bell has been gracing dancefloors as a DJ and co-creator of Jezebell alongside Swedish DJ Jesse Fahnestock for over 30 years. As a promoter and club operator, Darren he showcases an impeccable taste, mastering the underground scene in venues and parties both illegal and otherwise. He continues to shape his tastes and connect with like-minded individuals. Starting with an independent label, Darren's tracks have been widely played in various clubs and radio stations, including Britain’s BBC Radio 1.
