Animest, the biggest film festival in Bucharest and the only international animation festival in Romania, is returning this fall to celebrate love and animation! Don’t miss our show stopping 17th edition, happening in Bucharest cinemas and cultural venues, as well as on our online platform, for viewers across the country. We’ve carefully selected gems for animation diehard fans and newbies alike!

Between October 7-16, Bucharest will be the epicenter of an event attended by some of the best creators in the animation film industry, our guests at Animest, where they’ll present their newest award-winning creations.

*Animest is the only Oscar-qualifying film festival in Romania – the Trophy winner is eligible to compete in the Best Animated Short Film section at the Academy Awards.

Full Trip Pass: enjoy the full festival experience and unlimited access to all the screenings, concerts, and special events in the festival schedule. Perfect for animation superfans who missed Animest and are eager to make the most of the 10 days of the festival, from morning screenings to late-night thematic projects and parties.

Ten Stops Pass: this will give you access to 10 screenings (except Opening Night and special events). Perfect for animation lovers who will always make time for the latest releases, no matter how hectic their schedules.

Pass and accreditation holders may reserve seats for screenings and events using the barcode on their pass/badge, here, on the Eventbook platform. While reserving a seat is not compulsory, it’s recommended if you want to make sure you get to see the films you like, as seats are limited.

You may reserve seats for up to three non-overlapping events on any specific festival day. Reservations must be made at least an hour before the selected event starts.

Ukrainian viewers may access screenings for free, as seats allow, using their ID.
