Friday, 12:30, after the national premiere of the film Metronom, from Unirii Square Open Air, the film team comes to the meeting with the TIFF talks audience. Filmmaker Alexandru Belc, recently returned from Cannes with the Un Certain Regard award for directing, will be present at TIFF Lounge, alongside the actors Mara Bugarin, Șerban Lazarovici and Mara Vicol. Their dialog with viewers will be moderated by film critic Ionuț Mareş.
The story of Metronom is set in Romania in 1972. Ana, a 17-year-old teenager, learns that her boyfriend will be fleeing the country in a few days. The two lovers decide to spend their last days together.
