As every year, the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF, June 13–22, 2025) offers film lovers unique cinematic experiences in alternative spaces. On Thursday, June 19, audiences are invited to ISSA Resort in Turda for an evening that combines film with a passion for horses, exceptional wines, and fine dining.
ISSA Resort will host a special TIFF event in preview – an exclusive experience in a venue soon to be opened to the public. Located just steps from Salina Turda, ISSA is a haven for nature lovers, fine wines, and thoroughbred horses.

The TIFF evening at ISSA Resort will begin with a horseback riding demonstration featuring thoroughbred horses carefully trained at the estate’s equestrian center – a rare show of grace and skill.
Argentina’s submission for the 2024 Oscars, the evening’s film will be Kill the Jockey (El Jockey, dir. Luis Ortega), a dramatic comedy filled with eccentric characters, gangsters, and dance scenes, set in the unpredictable world of equestrian sports. The film premiered in the official competition at the Venice Film Festival and follows the story of Remo Manfredini, a legendary jockey whose self-destructive behavior threatens to ruin both his career and his relationship with his girlfriend, Abril. The lead role is played by actor Nahuel Pérez Biscayart, known to TIFF audiences from Persian Lessons (dir. Vadim Perelman), screened at the festival in 2021, and the queer drama 120 BPM (dir. Robin Campillo, 2017), which earned him a César Award.
The evening will conclude with a special dinner prepared by chef Raymond Chettiar and his talented culinary team at ISSA Resort – a menu inspired by the atmosphere of the film, adding a creative and flavorful dimension to the experience.
Guests can choose between two types of experiences: the standard package, which includes the horseback demonstration and film screening, or the full package, which also includes the exclusive dinner.
