TIFF 2022: Art Museum: open stage for the most innovative musicians


This year, the Art Museum becomes one of the most effervescent musical centers of the Transilvania International Film Festival. During the 8 evenings, from 7PM, the TIFF audience is invited to concerts held by some of the most innovative Romanian and international bands and musicians. 

Sunday, 19 June 2022 - MUSSPELL (Romania)

Bolloni Anna (vocals, guitar) and Dosa Noemi Diana (vocals, keyboards) play a very fresh dream pop, requested at more and more events abroad. The band is preparing to record their first album in Budapest, which will also include songs that you can listen to live at TIFF.

Monday, 20 June 2022 - INGRET (Ukraine)

The Ukrainian artist is very energetic, and her music goes through the most diverse styles, from pop, to trip hop and indie rock. In normal times, we would have listened to her hits live with the band, but her colleagues are mobilized in the war in Ukraine. Ingret's concert is supported by Music Export Ukraine, an independent initiative that helps Ukrainian artists continue their work even though most of them have had to take refuge in different parts of Europe.

Tuesday, 21 June 2022 - OM LA LUNĂ (Romania)

"Om la lună is a cry. Of great love, of fear, of joy, of rediscovery, of sadness, of maladaptation, of renunciation, of courage, of gratitude ”. The TIFF concert is part of the national tour to release the album 'Equilibru', the third studio album in the band's history.

Wednesday, 22 June 2022 - ÀBÁSE (Ungaria/ Germania)

Àbáse is the collective project created by the Hungarian producer Szabolcs Bognár who manages to create a refined mix of jazz, electronic music, African rhythms and hip hop. Noted and broadcast by BBC6 and Worldwide FM, Àbáse's music highlights Szabolcs Bognár's key virtuosity, which, along with his solo career, is also part of the bands of Nigerian singer Wayne Snow and jazz drummer Ziggy Zeitgeist. The concert hosted by TIFF brings together 6 musicians from three countries, a formula for the first time for Romania.

Thursday, 23 June 2022 - ZEITGEIST FREEDOM (Germany)

Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange is the meeting point of dance music improvisation. Led by Ziggy Zeitgeist, a well-known jazz drummer, Z * F * E * X is heavily influenced by the culture of club music, so viewers discover a unique formula of house beats, broken beat, with a generous dose of jazz-funk in the style of the '70s.

Friday, 24 June 2022 - MARTIN KOHLSTEDT

Present at TIFF for the premiere of "A Higher Law", whose soundtrack he created, Martin Kohlstedt offers moviegoers the chance to meet live with his very special music. A piano virtuoso, he is often associated with another great contemporary neo-classical artist, Nils Frahm.

Saturday, 25 June 2022 -  NASIP KISMET (Turcia/Ungaria)

Nasip Kısmet is the project of Turkish musician Arif Erdem Ocak, established in Budapest after a successful start with Seksendört, the band that dominated the Turkish charts in the mid-2000s. Turkish folk, old or contemporary, takes on a new form in the interpretation that has become one of the most sought after live shows in Hungary. Prepare comfortable shoes, no one can stand too much on the chairs at a Nasip Kismet concert!

Sunday, 26 June 2022 - ASTRO GÉNÉRALE & ALONE AT PARTIES (Romania)

In a conversation about the most interesting new bands on the Romanian scene, ASTRO GÉNÉRALE and Alone at Parties cannot be missed. In a nostalgic synth-pop rhythm with punk and indie influences, Astro Generale sings about surreal dreams, nightlife memories and wishes that will never come true. ALONE AT PARTIES has signed 2 singles so far, a live version for "Board Games", and "Another Car", a song that has been recorded over many creative sessions that have spread to the best for 2 years. One evening, Cirkular, a production company from Cluj that supports many artists at the beginning of their careers.
