Sinopsis:
Secolul 16, Cévennes, Franţa. Un negustor de cai pe nume Michael Kohlhaas duce o viaţă fericită şi prosperă alături de familie. Când este nedreptăţit de un nobil, acest bărbat credincios şi cinstit strânge o armată şi trece ţara prin foc şi sabie pentru a-şi face dreptate.
