RO: La finalul anilor ’70, muzica disco era considerată depășită, prea mainstream, sau supraexploatată. Însă DJ-ii și discotecile aveau în continuare nevoie de muzică de dans, și așa a apărut stilul High Energy.

Cu ritmurile sale alerte și sound-ul bazat pe sintetizatoare, stilul High Energy a luat cu asalt mai întâi cluburile gay și apoi topurile muzicale, în anii ’80. 

Regizat de realizatorul radio/TV Olivier Monssens, documentarul High Energy - The Revival Of Disco este povestea unui stil muzical cu impact internațional, cu rădăcini în San Francisco, Londra, Montreal și Munchen.

ENG: At the end of the 1970s Disco was dead, deemed too mainstream and overexploited. But DJs and dancefloors still needed records and so the High Energy style was born.

With its faster rhythms and stripped-back synthesizer sound, High Energy took gay clubs by storm before taking over the charts in the 1980s. The story of an international musical genre coming from San Francisco, London, Montreal and Munich.
