The movie “Once the dust settles” is presenting three stories of people who survived war and disaster and who are trying to rebuild their lives after the cities in which they are living are no longer subjects in the news. One of the protagonists is a woman in Aleppo who was a tour guide before the war started. Now she’s starting to guide tourists again through the remains left after the war, in the place where she used to tell visitors about Syria’s rich history and archaeology.
With this movie, we want to spark a conversation about resilience, social recovery, hope, creating opportunities in times of crisis and about the socio-cultural aspects of the three cities captured in the movie.
The movie will be available for watching on the 27th of November starting with 7 PM.
The discussion after the movie will be hosted as a closed event on the Zoom platform starting with 8:30 PM. Please register at the following link: https://forms.gle/r7SzsajWqxQLboqm6
