LIAF Londra scurtmetraje / London International Animation Festival Shorts

The London International Animation Festival (LIAF) proudly showcases the whole spectrum of creative animation, showing that animation is for everyone.

Now in its 14th year the 2016 festival thrilled larger than ever audiences with an uncompromising programme challenging the notion that animation is merely for the 3D-CG blockbuster genre. Independent animation is an art form that continues to thrive and develop as a breathtaking medley of styles, materials, techniques and production - from hand drawn, paint on glass, collage, sculpture, cut outs, puppets, to some of the more interesting developments in CGI - all of which were seen in abundance at this year’s LIAF.

These 11 films – “the Best of LIAF” are a fantastic snapshot of the type of work being produced by animators from all around the world, proving that animation is the most entertaining, intelligent and provocative art form there is. Here you’ll find comedy, horror, animated documentaries, abstract works and everything in-between.

Festivalul internaţional de animaţie de la Londra (LIAF) este mândru să selecţioneze o gamă largă de animaţii creative, dovedind că genul se adresează tuturor categoriilor de public, fără excepţie.

La cea de-a 14-a ediţie, în 2016, festivalul a captivat un public mai numeros ca niciodată cu o selecţie lipsită de compromisuri şi gata să arate că animaţia nu este destinată blockbusterelor 3D realizate pe calculator. Animaţia independentă este o artă ce continuă să se dezvolte şi să folosească un uimitor melanj de stiluri, materiale şi tehnici de producţie, de la animaţia desenată de mână, pictură pe sticlă, colaj, sculptură, materiale decupate şi păpuşi până la cele mai noi opţiuni CGI. Toate aceste tehnici şi-au făcut din plin simţită prezenţa la LIAF.
