Fritz the Cat
Interzis minorilor / 78’ / USA 1972
The film pokes fun at the highs and lows of 60s counterculture. The main character is a college student obsessed with sex, who smokes weed, and gets into all sorts of trouble with the police. “Fritz the Cat” was the first major animated motion picture to receive an X-rating, and a great success with the audience. The movie proved that animation could work as a subversive and adult art form. Based on the comic by Robert R. Crumb.
